T-shirt designs?

These two designs I did are for my University's Fall Work Day (a day devoted to volunteer work). And as you can hopefully see the theme is 1920's. I don't know if my design is going to be chosen - I'll find out on Wednesday. :) Either way, I am happy that I got the opportunity!

This one below is one that I did for my residence hall's powderpuff tshirt and the theme was 'Beauty and the Blitz'. Classy am I right?

Well, let's just say that I am not called to do tshirt designs lol. But that's okay, I like helping out my friends in anyway that I can. :')

Journal Comic #04

So I think that it is safe to say that this is basically what I went through these past few days in finishing my jump animation for my Animation II class. but now I can't edit it because of stupid photoshop not cropping it right argh.

I'll post some more soon! :D

Storybeats - Environment

For this assignment we had to choose one of our environment concepts and come up with a story from it! So I choose to use the gas station/food market environment with my girl and guardian angel characters (more info on that soon lol). Hope you like! :D

kind of a long post sorry about that. . . at least I didn't upload my original 15 storybeats/storyboards haha

The gist of the plot above is a girl and her guardian angel go into a gas station/market and while she gets food he goes and gets himself in a pickle.

More coming soon!

Environment Concepts

Below are the drawings I did for my Storyboard and Concepts class! I am really proud of these and it was totally worth it spending this much time on them. :3 I hope to expand on these characters in the near future (*cough* final project *cough*).

The theme of the first one was "ordinary characters in an extraordinary environment". I really love how the colors turned out but I can see that I still have a lot of improvement to go in the realm of painting digitally though.

This next one's theme was the opposite of the one above - so "extraordinary character in an ordinary environment". So what's better than a girl and her guardian angel stopping by the gas station to grab some cheap soda?

So there you have it!

now to go and finish cleaning up my stomp cycle lol ;__;

Storyboards 02

Here are some storyboards (more like storybeats) that I did for this week! :D I'm pretty happy with how these turned out!

Remember the otter-zookeeper I did last week? Yeah, I had to revise it (which is fine) to make it more otter like I guess (see below for revised version) The assignment was to make a storybeat from a fable that we chose with our animal characters. The fable/moral I chose was "it sometimes happens that one man has all the toil, and another all the profit." So hopefully you can kind of see it here.

I did this quick so I could get to my storyboards. I'm okay with how this turned out . . . My prof. was pushing us all to get out of our comfort zones (which is great) its just now since I'm experimenting it doesn't look that great. oh well.

Till next time!

Zookeeper Sketches

For my Storyboard & Concept class we were tasked with drawing a character inspired/based on an animal and a job title. So I got an otter and a zookeeper! Overall, I am pleased with the result (the bottom left drawing lol). The other sketches were some I hashed out quickly (kind of) to get some momentum cause I had the hardest time drawing something I was happy with.

So yeah! I'll be posting some more stuff throughout the week! :D

Animated Turnaround

Remember this character? The one I designed for my Animation 2 class? yeah, the eccentric herb gatherer?

His name is Alfred by the way.

Anyways, I finished an animated turnaround last night! So here it is! :)

I'm proud of this but I also see some areas of improvement.

Zodiac Sign Characters

These are the 4 characters that I had to create/design (with backstories and all) for my Storyboard and Concept class. We had to use archetypes, like the four elements, the Gospels, etc. I used 4 of the zodiac signs: Leo, Virgo, Gemini, and Cancer. I'm pretty excited about these characters and hope that I get the chance to develop them more! :D

2 Robots & Color Studies

For Ballinger's class, we were tasked with designing 8 different robots (refer to my previous post). So now I chose my favorite two of the eight and had to refine them a bit and do turnarounds and two color studies for each one. (the point of all of this is to model and briefly animate a robot by the end of the semester)

So, without further ado . . .

My turnarounds~

The top one is "Butler Bot" and the bottom is "DJ 4.0" as it is rightfully named below.

Color Studies~

I had a lot of fun with these

My favorite one is "DJ 4.0" but I do love "Butler Bot" <3
